

Soups are always liked by everyone at home.I make this tomato at least twice a month as it is easy preparing as well as very filling.As we all know know soup works as an appetizer and this one with rich red colour and strong flavour, works well on the tummy to initiate your appetite.Tomato soup is one of first soups I learnt to make and often order while eating out.Tomatoes are a rich source of the anti oxidant lycopene which is known for combating with cancer.It is because of this nutrient that it is red in colour.Now besides all these things, tomatoes are loved by all,so go ahead to the kitchen to make a fresh bowl of tomato soup and sit back and enjoy..

- 3 Tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 1/4 beetroot
- 1/2 tsp Grated Ginger
- 2 tsp butter
- 1 tsp corn flour
- To Taste salt
- 2 tsp Black Pepper Powder

- Take the tomatoes and a piece of beetroot in a pan,immerse them in water and boil.
- After taking them out cool them.Chop onions finely and grate ginger.In a pan add butter followed by grated ginger and onion.Fry till pink.
- Strain water from tomatoes and place in a blender.Also add onion ginger mixture to this.
- Grind to a smooth texture.You may add a little water if you want so.
- Strain this mixture.
- Add corn flour mixture.
- Add butter, salt and black pepper powder.
- When it reaches a thick consistency switch off the flame.
- Enjoy this soup piping hot.
Notes
You can add a few mint leaves while sauteeing onions.
You can add a pod of garlis for extra taste.
Add more pepper if you want spicier.
