  • 1 cup Green Gram Dal
  • 1/2 tsp mustard
  • 1 red chilli
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida
  • salt to tatse
  • 3 tsp coconut (grated)

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Green Gram Dal
  • 1/2 tsp mustard
  • 1 red chilli
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida
  • salt to tatse
  • 3 tsp coconut (grated)
Instructions
  1. Soak green gram dal overnight in water.
  2. Next day pressure cook green gram in water and salt for 3 whistles.Strain and keep aside.
  3. In a pan add oil and mustard seeds.Add curry leaves,asafoetida,red and green chilly.
  4. Add cooked gren gram dal.
  5. Add grated coconut.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Green Gram Sundal is ready.

Notes

Adding a bit of jaggery enhances the taste.

Be sure to soak overnight for proper cooking.

Adding asafoetida helps in digestion.

You can add grated ginger to aid digestion.
