All kinds of snacks are a welcome at home and quickly disappears too from the kitchen. On my recent trip to New Delhi my husband brought a pack of this from the famous Bikanerwala shop. They have a beautiful array of snacks and sweets,my favourite there being Idli Dhokla. So when he brought that and I tasted it I knew I would be preparing these when I return back.True,I did and here I am with the recipe. It is an easy combination of green gram and channa dal with sev, cashews and almonds topped with masalas. You can add poha too,but I have not added since all my mixture or chivda recipes have poha in it.

You can have a look at my various Mixture/Chivda recipes from my blog.I have given links below. In South Indian Mixture Karaboondai,Omapodi,Ribbon Pakoda etc. are made and added. If you find difficult in making these you can try this variety of chivda which tastes absolutely delicious. There are various permutations and combinations in making this chivda. You can add moth dal, green gram dal, channa dal or moong dal or a combination of any of these or all of these.Sev is essential here and so also are the dry fruits. You can also add raisins or pistas which I haven’t added. When you are craving for anything hot and spicy and want to store for some days as well make this in bulk and enjoy.
