

It is often used to treat cold cough and other infections.Yes,I am talking about pepper and ginger.These are the wonder condiments that are readily available in our kitchens and we do make use of them knowing it’s medicinal benefits in one way or the other.But to use them as a flavouring for rice including the spices pepper, coriander and ginger was something unheard of. I came across a TV show which had this recipe and I was totally glued to it.The presentation was awesome and i knew I will make this as a lunch box option.Anyway we always end up sometimes with gastric and digestional problems and a clean solution to all that is trying this recipe.It ia a very easy rice apt to make during your early morning hectic schedule.It took only five minutes to make this recipe, ofcourse rice was already made and cooled down to be mixed.Scroll here for more about this recipe…

- 1 tsp ginger Dry powder/Sukku powder .
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 tsp urad dal
- 1 tsp Channa dal
- 1 red chilli
- a few Cashewnuts
- 1 tbsp ame oil
- to taste salt
- sprig curry leaves a
- 1 pinch asafoetida
- 1 cup rice Cooked

- In a pan add sesame oil and add mustard,urad dal, channa dal,asafoetida and red chilly.
- Add now curry leaves and cashews.
- Add coriander powder,dry ginger powder and black pepper powder.
- Add cooked rice.
- Mix well.
- Yummy sukku malli milagu sadam is ready.Serve or pack for lunch with chips.curry or your favourite papad.
Notes
You can avoid red chilly if you are packing for kids.
Make sure the rice grains are seperate and cooled.
Use sesame oil for extra taste.
