- small bunch coriander leaves a
- 2 tsp urad dal
- 1/2 tsp mustard
- 2 red chilli
- tamarind a small bit
- 1 pinch asafoetida
- to taste salt

Instructions
- Temper mustard,urad dal,red chilli and asafoetida in a pan by adding oil.
- Transfer it to a blender once cooled.Add tamarind,salt and coriander leaves.
- By adding a little water grind to a paste.
- Kothamalli Thogayal/Coriander Leaves Thogayal is ready.

Adding tamarind extract gives a nice tangy taste.
You can add green chillies too.
Roast urad dal till golden brownn to have the full flavour.
