Ingredients
- 1 cup Aval / Poha (thick)
- 1 tsp pepper Powder
- 1 tsp Jeera / Cumin powder
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 tsp urad dal
- 1 tsp Channa dal
- 1 tsp Groundnuts
- to taste salt
- 1 tsp Oil
- 3 tsp coconut grated
- 1 Sprig curry leaves

Instructions
- Wash and rinse aval/poha in water and soak just to immerse them for twenty minutes.
- Take a kadai and add oil and when it gets heated add mustard,urad dal,channa dal,red chilly,groundnuts,curry leaves and asafoetida.
- When they are roasted add cumin powder,peper powder,strained aval an d salt.
- Mix well and add grated coconut.cook for 2 minutes till no moisture is there.
- Pepper poha is ready.
- Serve pepper poha hot.

Notes
- You can add cashew nuts for extra taste.
- Addition of ghee about a teaspoon enhances the taste of poha.
- Use only thick aval as the thin ones will turn mushy.
- Use freshly grounded pepper for extra taste.
