Ingredients
  • small bunch coriander leavesa
  • 2tsp urad dal
  • 1/2tsp mustard
  • 2 red chilli
  • tamarinda small bit
  • 1pinch asafoetida
  • to taste salt
Instructions
  1. Temper mustard,urad dal,red chilli and asafoetida in a pan by adding oil.
  2. Transfer it to a blender once cooled.Add tamarind,salt and coriander leaves.
  3. By adding a little water grind to a paste.
  4. Kothamalli Thogayal/Coriander Leaves Thogayal is ready.

Notes

Adding tamarind extract gives a nice tangy taste.

You can add green chillies too.

Roast urad dal till golden brownn to have the full flavour.
