Ingredients

  1. Soak channa and green gram dal seperately for 4 hours.
  2. After 4 hrs it would have soaked well.
  3. Drain in a collander.
  4. Spread on a clean towel.
  5. Heat oil in a pan.Add the soaked dals to fry.
  6. Wait till the sound subsides.
  7. Take them out once crisp.
  8. Spread on a tissue paper to remove excess oil.
  9. Take gram flour,rice flour,red chilli powder and salt in a wide vessel.
  10. Knead by adding water to a soft dough.
  11. Use the big holed press.
  12. Adding dough to the press squeeze in hot oil.
  13. Take out once done.
  14. Add fried dals and sev in a big vessel.
  15. Now fry groundnuts.
  16. Now fry almonds and cashew nuts.
  17. Add it to the dal and sev mixture.
  18. Add aamchur powder,chaat masala,red chilli powder,turmeric powder and salt.
  19. Mix well.
  20. Serve with Masala Chai.

Notes

You may even fry poha add to the chivda.

You can add black salt and avoid ordinary salt.
