BLACK CURRANT GRANOLA
We all have corn flakes, oats or wheat flakes with milk and fruits for breakfast. Granola or Museli are tasty versions of breakfast cereal. Regarding granola, it consists of rolled oats, nuts, seeds and honey or any sweetner. I have added almonds and dates which are a great source of energy and strength. If you add flax seeds to this it adds to your digestion. But since I did not have flax seeds in hand I have added melon seeds which is equally delicious and tasty. I have been wanting to post this recipe for long and I got this oppurtunity only now. It was a really quick fix recipe and it is very useful and helpful to working women and bachelors too. I find this quite handy for my daughter who leaves early in the morning for college. You can have chopped fruits like apple, mangoes, grapes, strawberries or any fruit in season.
Coming to the pan in which I have made this delicious recipe, it is from Nirlep Selec+ range called the fry pan which has a super non stick coating that keeps the fat level low in your dish. I have used only half a teaspoon of oil and the melted jaggery bound everything together. The base provides even heat distribution and the whole mass though sticky didn’t stick to the pan at all.
