THAVALA VADA

No this is not ordinary vada,but vada with a twist.Yet again a recipe known to a few i found this during my recent visit to my mother’s place.She learnt it from her granny and this recipe is a tanjore district speciality.Many make it like bonda balls but i like to make this as i was taught and it’s crunchy and chewy with coconut pieces in the middle,it’s awesome.The smooth lentils and crispy rice gives a tasty outer and soft inner texture to the thavala vadas.The highlight here is the fusion of different type of lentils and rice.This is a filling…
