Veppilai katti is one extrordinary dry powder which is usually consumed as a pickle and which does not need oil to prepare.Yes,it is a pickle made out of fresh citron leaves carefully pounded and grounded to perfection along with a few spices.It is also called as narthailai podi i.e.citron leaf powder in tamil and narangi patta in hindi.Normally as far as i know no hotel serves this and is usually homemade,though some like stores which sell vadams,applams and vathals like Ambika Applam company makes this and sells it in the market.My hubby loves this and will always demand for it…
