Idli Upma is one such recipe which can be made in seconds, yet it is healthy and quick to make as it is pre cooked and only tempering and mixing is needed.I usually make this from leftover idlis or make idlis in the morning and make this using idlis for dinner.Or it can be given as an evening snack when kids return from school. It is packed with proteins from urad dal and rice.I can have it anytime for breakfast or dinner,t is so very tasty..

No restaurant serves this recipe, this is made only in homes. An additional advantage with this recipe is even when the idlis turn out hard, this can be made. You can have a lot of variations in this recipe and many veggies can be added.Carrots, capsicum, peas and onion can be added to make it tasty.I have always made it simple onions but for a change you can add peanuts and cashew nuts as well. You can try this Idli Upma with Ragi Idli or Jowar Idli.I tried once Idli Upma with Idli from millets. As they say the sky is the limit. So try this and enjoy at any time of the day.
