Ingredients
  • 1/2cup Gram Flour / Besan
  • 4tsp rice flour
  • 1/2tsp red chilliPowder
  • to taste salt
  • 1pinch asafoetida
  • 10/ Palak SpinachLeaves/
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tomato
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1 carrot
  • 1/2tsp lemon juice
  • coriander leavesto garnish
  • sev/ OmapodiPlain to garnish
  • to taste salt
  • chaat masalato sprinkle on top
  • 1tsp Green Chutney
  • 1tsp Sweet Chutney
  • oil( for deep frying)
Instructions
  1. Wash and dry the palak leaves and remove the stock.
  2. Take all the ingredients like gram flour, rice flour,red chilli powder, salt and asafoetida in a bowl.
  3. Add water and mix the batter.
  4. Dip palak leaves on the batter.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and drop in the coated palak leaves.
  6. Once golden brown,take them out.
  7. Arrange them on a plate.
  8. Add chopped cucumber and grated carrot on top of palak.
  9. Add now chopped tomato and onion.
  10. Add green chutney,sweet chutney, lemon juice then sprinkle chaat masala and salt.
  11. Top it with sev and coriander leaves.
  12. Serve immediately with ginger tea.

Notes

Add black salt or amchur powder on top just before serving in place of chaat masala.

Adding vegges can also be as per your taste.

Serve immediately otherwise the fried palak leaf may turn soggy.
