Instructions
Take besan,rice flour,salt,asafoetida,red chilly powder,turmeric powder and cooking soda in a vessel.
Add water without forming lumps.It should be of idli batter consistency.
Chop onions and keep them ready.Boil potatoes,peel skin mash them and keep aside.
In a pan add oil,mustard seeds and channa dal to crackle.Then add grren chillies.
Add now chopped onions,turmeric powder,red chilli powder and saute well.
Add boiled potatoes and salt.
And lastly curry and coriander leaves.
Cool the mixture completely.Make gooseberry sized balls.
Dip the balls in the batter.Make sure they are well coated.
Heat oil in a pan and drop them.You can add 3-4 balls depending on the sizes of these balls.Take them out once golden and crispy on the outside.
Serve hot with coconut chutney.

Notes
You can add peas for the filling.
Avoid green chillies if you want the bondas less spicier.
You can alternatively add mixed vegetables too.
