Instructions
Soak chickpeas in water overnight.
Next morning,pressure cook chickpeas in water by adding salt for 3 whistles.
Dry roast the ingredients given in the to roast and grind table.
Transfer the ingredients to a blender.
Powder the things coarsely.
In a pan add oil,mustard,urad dal.red and green chilly,curry leaves and asafoetida.
Add boiled chickpeas,roasted powder,grated coconut,red chilli powder,turmeric powder and salt.
Mix evenly.
Chickpea Sundal/Vella Kondakadalai Sundal is ready.

You can roast the coconut and grind with the other ingredients to add a nice crunch.
Soak chickpeas overnight to cook them faster.
You can use coconut oil for more flavour.
