Ingredients
  • 1cup basmati rice|
  • 1 carrot|
  • handful Peas| a
  • 1 potato|
  • 1 onion|
  • 1/2tsp Cumin / Jeera|
  • 3 Clove|
  • 1/2 Bay Leaf|
  • cinnamonStick | a small bit
  • to taste salt|
  • 2tsp Oil
Instructions
  1. Soak basmati rice in water for half an hour.
  2. In a cooker add oil and cumin. Add onions to saute. Add now, bay leaf, cinnamon stick and clove.
  3. Add rest of the veggies now and then soaked rice
  4. Add salt and 1 1/2 cups of water.Cook for 2-3 whistles
  5. Vegetable Pulao is ready.
  6. Vegetable Pulao is ready.I served with onion raita.

Notes.

You can add a cardamom pod if you want.

Adding a pod of garlic or green chilles and garlic ground paste also enhances the taste.

You can add fried cashewnuts on top for a richer look.
