  1. Remove skin from raw banana.Chop into cubes and add them in water to prevent them from discolouring..In a pan of water add cubed banana pieces and turmeric powder.
  2. Once cooked and soft and tender,strain.
  3. In a pan add oil followed by mustard and urad dal.Also add asafoetida,red chilly and curry leaves.
  4. Add cooked banana and salt.
  5. Mix and toss well.
  6. Serve hot with rice and any gravy like sambhar or rasam.
