  1. Soak black channa overnight.
  2. Pressure cook channa in the morning.
  3. In a tawa add oil followed by onions.
  4. Add grated ginger.
  5. Add chopped tomato.Now add red chilli powder,turmeric powder,garam masala powder,chaat masala powder and salt.Toss well.
  6. Add cooked black channa now.Sprinkle some water so that all masalas mingle with each other.Add some freshly chopped coriander leaves.
  7. Tawa Channa is ready.
  8. Serve Tawa Channa hot directly from the tawa with crispy papdis.
