  1. Soak sabudana in water for 2 hrs.
  2. Boil potatoes,peel them and mash.
  3. Dry roast groundnuts.
  4. Powder them coarsely.
  5. Squeeze water from sabudana and add it to a wide bowl.Add chopped green chillies,red chilli powder,mashed potatoes,salt and asafoetida.Also add coriander leaves and lemon juice.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Flatten it with your hand.
  8. Drop in in a kadai of hot oil one by one all vadas.
  9. Fry till golden brown.
  10. Serve hot with green coriander chilly chutney.

  • If not fasting you may add chopped onions.
  • If you have roasted peanuts you may powder them and add or add as a whole.
  • Adding grated ginger also enhances the taste.
