  1. Take a red bell pepper and roast it directly on the flame.
  2. Roast it finely.
  3. Once cooled remove skin.
  4. Chop it into pieces.
  5. In a pan add butter,oil and chopped onion.Fry till pink.
  6. Add chopped tomato and fry again.
  7. Let it turn mushy.
  8. Add chopped red bell pepper,fried onion and tomato in a blender.
  9. Blend nicely.
  10. Transfer it to a pan.Add some water,if needed.
  11. Add salt.
  12. Add dried basil.
  13. Mix well and simmer for 5 minutes.
  14. Garnish with basil leaves.Roasted Red Bell Pepper Soup is ready to be served.

Notes

You can add some cooked pasta and add it to the soup.

Adding black pepper powder enhances the flavour.
