Ingredients
  • 2 Potatoes(boiled and peeled)
  • 1/2tsp Urad Dal
  • 1 / 2tsp Channa Dal
  • 1/2tsp Mustard
  • Apinch Asafoetida
  • 1/2tsp Grated Ginger
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • 2tsp Grated Coconut
  • 1/2tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1tsp Oil
  • 1To Taste Salt
  • 1tsp Lemon Juice
Instructions
  1. Boil potatoes and keep aside.
  2. Mash the potatoes.
  3. In a kadai add mustard,urad dal,channa dal,grated ginger,green chilly and turmeric powder.
  4. Add the mashed potato mixture to the kadai and curry leaves.Mix well and add grated coconut and salt.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Add lemon juice.
  7. Enjoy with rice and any gravy.

Notes

You can make raw banana podimas as well.Follow the same procedure but boil raw banana.

You can add red chilly in place of green ones.

Serve with rice and any gravy.
