Ingredients
  • 1cup Rice
  • 1/2cup Peanuts
  • 1/2tsp Sesame Seeds
  • 1tsp Ghee
  • To Taste Salt
TO TEMPER
  • 1tsp Mustard
  • 1tsp Urad Dal
  • 1tsp Channa Dal
  • 1pinch Asafoetida
  • 1tsp Oil
  • 1 Sprig Curry Leaves
Instructions
  1. Pressure cook rice and cool completely.Add oil and ghee to keep the cooked rice.Take peanuts and roast them.Then rub them and phew them to take the skin off.If using roasted peanuts you can use them directly.
  2. Dry roast kopra cut pieces,sesame seeds and red chilli till golden brown.
  3. Put them in a blender.
  4. Grind coarsely.
  5. Take a small pan add oil and when it gets heated add all the tempering items and turmeric powder and switch off the stove.
  6. Add the coarsely ground powder and salt to the cooked rice grains.
  7. Serve with papad/chips or any dry curry.

Notes

For seasoning you can add a few roasted cashew nuts.

Though i have used kopra you can use coconut gratings as well.

After mixing well add 1/2 ghee for extra taste and to prevent the rice from getting dry, if packing for lunch box.
