  1. In a kadai add oil and put tur dal and channa dal and roast till they turn golden brown and you get nice aroma.
  2. Add water and let it soak for half an hour.
  3. Once soaked put it in a mixer and add the required salt.Grind neither too smooth nor too coarse.
  4. The texture should be medium.
  5. Paruppu Thogayal is ready to be served.

Notes

You can add coconut scrapings while grinding.

Use can use only pepper corns or only red chilly while sauteeing.
