PALAK PAKODA
A delicious snack with spinach leaves and gram flour fried to crispiness.

Ingredients
  • 1cup Spinach/ Palak Leaves
  • 1cup gram flour
  • 1/2cup rice flour
  • 1/2tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2tsp turmeric
  • 2number Green Chillies
  • 1pinch asafoetida
  • To Taste salt
  • As Needed Oil
  • A Few curry leaves
  • A Few coriander leaves
Instructions
  1. In a wide bowl add gram flour, green chillies, red chilli powder,rice flour, turmeric powder, salt, asafoetida powder, curry and coriander leaves.
  2. Add water and mix.
  3. Add a teaspoon of hot oil.
  4. Mix well. Pakoda batter is ready.
  5. Heat oil and slowly add the dough in to the hot oil in small round shaped balls. Don’t worry about the shape.
  6. Take out once golden brown.
  7. They wil look like this.
  8. Serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
Recipe Notes

If you want, you can add chopped onions. You can also add ginger-garlic paste to the batter. You can also add chaat masala on top just before serving the pakodas.
