ONION PAKODA
Ingredients
  • 3 Onion
  • 1cup Gram Flour / Kadala
  • 1cup Rice Flour
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • A Small Bit Ginger
  • 2sprigs Curry Leaves
  • A Few Coriander Leaves
  • to taste Salt
  • 1tsp Ghee
  • 1tsp Red Chilly Powder
  • Oil(for deep frying)
Instructions
  1. Chop onions finely and set aside.
  2. Add gram flour,rice flour,cut green chilies,grated ginger,salt,red chilli powder,curry and coriander leaves.Sprinkle some oil and water.
  3. Mix well with you hands.Pakoda batter is ready.
  4. Heat oil in a kadai and drop in small balls, don’t worry about the shapes.
  5. Fry till golden brown.
  6. Take out on a tissue and let the excess oil drain.
  7. Serve hot immediately with piping hot coffee.

Notes

You could add some mint leaves or crushed garlic pods for extra taste.

Adding cashews for richness is another option.
