Ingredients
  • 1cup riceCooked
  • 2 gooseberry
  • 1/2tsp mustard
  • 1/2tsp urad dal
  • 1/2tsp Channa dal
  • 1tsp groundnut
  • 2 green chilli
  • saltto tatse
  • 1sprig curry leaves
  • 1/2tsp lemon juice
Instructions
  1. In a pan add sesame oil and add mustard,urad dal,channa dal and groundnuts to splutter.
  2. Add green chillies and curry leaves.
  3. Grate amla .
  4. Add amla to the pan.
  5. Mix well and add salt.
  6. Add lemon juice.
  7. After a while add cooked rice.
  8. Mix well.
  9. Nellikai Sadam/Amla Rice is ready.Serve with raita,chips,curry or papad.

Notes

  • Use sesame oil for better taste.
  • After adding grated amla,don’t cook for long.
  • You can add chilli paste also.
  • If you like to make it richer add cashews.
