Instructions
  1. Wash and clean the mushrooms and slit them lengthwise.
  2. In a pan add oil and a slit onion and green chilli.Fry till it is pink.
  3. In a blender add fried onion and green chilli,cumin powder,coriander powder,red chilly powder,garam masala powder and tomato sauce.
  4. Grind to a smooth consistency.
  5. In a pan add oil,cumin and a bay leaf.
  6. Add another onion and fry till pink.
  7. Add the ground onion-tomato paste.
  8. Now add tomato puree.
  9. Add slit mushrooms.
  10. Bubble it away till mushrooms are soft and tender.Add salt.
  11. Add kassori Methi.
  12. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  13. Enjoy with hot rotis.

Notes

You can add ground tomato in place of tomato puree.

You can also add cashew nuts while grinding onions for extra taste.

Use butter in place of oil for more taste.
