Ingredients
  • 1cup Dosa BatterIdli Batter or
  • Oil-for shallow frying
  • FOR THE FILLING
  • 3 Potatoes(boiled and mashed)
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 ChiliesGreen
  • 1/2tsp Ginger(grated)
  • 1/2tsp Mustard
  • 1/2tsp Channa Dal
  • 1/2tsp TurmericPowder
  • 1sprig Curry Leaves
  • a few Coriander Leaves
  • to taste Salt
  • 2tsps Oil
  • 3 Cashewnuts
Instructions
  1. In a pan add oil, mustard and channa dal.
  2. Add grated ginger.
  3. Now add chopped onion.
  4. Once onion turns pink add cashew nuts and turmeric powder.
  5. Add boiled potatoes,salt and curry leaves.
  6. Mix well.Add coriander leaves.
  7. Potoato masala is ready.
  8. Heat the tawa and add a little oil and slowly make a dosa.
  9. Spread the potato filling evenly on the dosa.
  10. Serve piping hot with chutney and sambhar with filter coffee.

Notes

Add grated carrot or a handful of peas to enhance the taste of the potato filling.

You can shallow fry with ghee or top it with butter.

Serve Masala Dosa hot.
