Ingredients
  • 1cup oatsRolled
  • 1/2tsp mustard
  • 1/2tsp urad dal
  • 1/2tsp Channa dal
  • 1/4tsp turmericPowder
  • 1pinch asafoetida
  • to taste salt
  • 1 ChillyRed
  • 1 ChillyGreen
  • a few Peanuts
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1sprig curry leaves
  • a few coriander leaves
  • 2tsp sesame oil
Instructions
  1. In a pan add oil followed by mustard,urad dal,channa dal,red chilli,green chilli,peanuts and asafoetida.
  2. When mustard cracks and dal turns brown,add turmeric powder and curry leaves.
  3. Add water and salt.
  4. Now add rolled oats.
  5. Squeeze half a lemon to the mixture and mix well.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  7. Serve hot.

  2. This is upma like breakfast,so add as much veggies you like.Since I wanted only lemony flavour,I didn’t add any.

You don’t need any accompaniment ,but any raita would be great.
