KHARA BATH

Ingredients
  • 1cup Semolina / Rava
  • 4tsp Oil
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 Onion
  • 4 Beans
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 Capsicum
  • 1/4cup Green Peas
  • 2number Green Chilli
  • 2tsp Chopped Ginger
  • 1/2tsp Mustard
  • 1/2tsp Urad Dal
  • 1/2tsp Channa Dal
  • 4number Cashew Nuts
  • 1/2tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2tsp Eastern Vangi Bath Powder
  • SaltTo Taste
  • 1tsp Grated Coconut
  • 1tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1sprig Curry Leaves
  • 1 tsp Ghee
  • 4cups Water
Instructions
  1. In a pan dry roast rava.
  2. Roast till nice aroma comes and it changes colour slightly.
  3. In a pan add oil followed by mustard, urad and channa dal.
  4. Add cashew nuts and curry leaves now.
  5. Add chopped onion.
  6. Now add chopped ginger and chilli.
  7. Cook till translucent.
  8. Add chopped tomato.
  9. Add chopped beans, capsicum, carrot and shelled peas.
  10. Add turmeric powder.
  11. Add Eastern Vangi Masala Powder.
  12. Add water and cook.
  13. Add salt.
  14. Cook for 5 more mimutes.
  15. Add roasted rava.
  16. Cover and cook till it is nicely cooked.
  17. Add grated coconut.
  18. Add coriander leaves.
  19. Add ghee.
  20. Add lemon juice.
  21. Khara Bath is done.
  22. Enjoy it hot.
Recipe Notes

You can even add Rasam Powder in place of Vangi Bath Powder.

Adding ghee adds a nice flavour.

Mix well without formimg lumps.
