  1. Soak channa dal for half an hour.
  2. Pressure cook for 2 whistles.
  3. In pan add oil mustard and red chilies and asafoetida.
  4. Add cooked channa dal. Mix well and add grated coconut .Toss upside down so that all things are mixed.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Offer this to Goddess as Neiveidhayam.

You can add coconut oil for tempering.

Make sure channa dal is not over cooked.
