Ingredients
FOR THE DOUGH
  • 1cup maida
  • 1/2tsp baking powder
  • 3tsp curd
  • 1/2tsp sugar
  • 1/2tsp Active Dry Yeast
  • to taste salt
  • 1/8 cup milk
  • 2Flakes Garlic(grated)
  • 2tsp Oil
FOR TOPPING
  • 2 tsp Nigella Seeds
  • 2tsp coriander leaves
FOR SHALLOW FRYING
  • 2tsp butter
Instructions
  1. Soak active dry yeast in lukewarm water.
  2. Mix well.Keep it aside for 10 minutes.It will become cloudy.
  3. In a bowl add maida, salt, sugar, oil,grated garlic,yeast mixture and baking powder.You can replace water with milk or curd.
  4. Knead well and keep it for resting for an hour.
  5. Roll into lemon sized balls.
  6. Dust some flour on the rolling surface.Add nigella seeds and chopped coriander and place the flour dough and press it to flatten it.
  7. Roll it and place in a hot tawa smeared with butter.
  8. Flip to the other side.
  9. Delicious Garlic Naan is ready to enjoy.
Recipe Notes

Always use lukewarm water to dissolve yeast.

Knead with patience and don’t over knead also.

Adding sugar gives a nice colour to naan.
