Ingredients
  • 4 – 6 chilliBajji
  • 1/2cup Gram flour / Kadala Besanmaavu
  • 1/4cup rice flour
  • 1tsp red chillipowder
  • to taste salt
  • waterenough to make batter
  • 1/2tsp Cumin / Jeera
  • pinch asafoetidaa
  • 1/4tsp Sodium- Bi Carbonate
  • Oil(for deep frying)
Instructions
  1. Take chilles and wash and wipe them.
  2. Slit them in the middle to remove seeds.
  3. Take in a bowl, besan,rice flour.red chilli powder,salt,asafoetida,sodium bi carb and jeera.
  4. Make a dosa consistency batter.
  5. Heat oil in a kadai and dip in the chiles and put them in hot oil.
  6. Take them out when golden brown.
  7. Serve with chutney or sauce along with coffee.

  • In place of jeera you can add caraway seeds as well.
  • Be sure to remove the seeds before dipping into the batter.
  • You can serve this an an evening tiffin or starter too.
