Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Cut ash gourd into small cubes.
  2. In a small pan add a little oil and add mustard seeds, urad dal, channa dal and red chilly.
  3. Now add cut ash gourd pieces,salt and turmeric powder and add a little water just enough for the vegetable to get cooked.
  4. Once it is cooked add coconut gratings and curry leaves.
  5. Serve with any tamarind based gravy or rasam.

Notes

You could add 1/4 cup of soaked moong dal along with ash gourd to make it even tastier.

Instead of red chilly you can add green ones.

If you want it spicy add 1tsp of sambhar powder to the ash gourd.
