Ingredients
  • 2 Potatoes(boiled and peeled)
  • 1cup Gram Flour
  • 1/4cup Rice Flour
  • 1tsp Garam Masalapowder-
  • 1tsp Chaat Masala
  • 1tsp Red Chilly Powder
  • 1/4tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2tsp Asafoetida
  • To Taste Salt
  • Oil( for deep frying)
Instructions
  1. Boil potatoes in a pressure cooker and mash well.In a wide bowl add boiled potatoes, besan, rice flour, garam masala powder, chat masala powder, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, asafoetida and salt.
  2. Knead well to form a soft dough.If it is a little sticky add 1tsp oil and knead again.
  3. Heat oil well and take a big ball of dough in a omapodi acchu/press and directly squezee the mixture on to the hot oil.
  4. When done on one side flip it over and wait till the sound subsides.Drain in a paper tissue.
  5. Enjoy this crispy snack with your cuppa.

Add black salt if you want.

In place of potatoes you can add pureed palak leaves.
