WHEAT VEGETABLE SEVAI

I am always trying new recipes these days. Sevai or idiyappam is a healthy steamed rice based string hopper mainly had for breakfast.Bur being health conscious and many trying to avoid rice based foods these day,I searched for a replacement for rice. What will be a better option than that of wheat? This time it is Wheat vegatable sevai in my kitchen. An effortless kitchen variety and can be made in a matter of minutes,i made this one day for breakfast and was given a green flag, thankfully.I added a lot of veggies to make it more healthier. But I would suggest that using the seavi as a base you can experiment with various flavors like lemon, curd, coconut, pepper and sesame varieties.

I also have added here sambhar powder for the spice or heat ingredient in the recipe. That gives a unique aroma and blends well with the wheat stringhopper and veggies too.You can add any veggies of your preference, but onions and tomato can form a base. You can even try a no onion option too.The wheat flour has more zinc and iron compared to rice and double the amount of fibre.Moving to the recipe, this is a truly innovative recipe of mine and I have tried it a couple of times in my kitchen.Do try and write feedbacks as that would be a good source of motivation to me.
