I  was planning to make wheat halwa for a long time and as it is much time consuming was postponing it. It involves soaking wheat rava, grinding it and extracting it’s milk and proceed with the halwa making process.I saw,while browsing one day and stumbled upon this recipe of wheat flour halwa. Believe me it’s absolutely heavenly and there is is no compromise in the taste too.My mother who is an expert in halwa making was also pleased to  know that I made this when which had the same taste as hers,at last my battle was won.See here the recipe of the halwa and treat your loved ones even when there is no celebration.

  1. Take the wheat flour in a vessel.
  2. Add water and mix without any lumps.
  3. Strain it so that the batter is smooth.
  4. Now add orange food colour and cardamom powder.
  5. In a pan add ghee and fry the cashewnuts.In the same pan add wheat flour batter and allow it to cook.Keep on stirring ,turning the whole mass up and down.Add sugar and half the quantity of mentioned ghee and mix well.
  6. As you can see the whole mass is getting cooked.
  7. Add rest of the ghee till you get a glossy finish.
  8. The consistency should be like this.
  9. Cut it into squares after laying them on a plate or serve in any cup as it is.Heavenly wheat flour halwa is ready.

  • You can add raisins or any nuts of your choice.
  • For extra taste mix the wheat flour with milk in place of water.
  • Don’t compromise on ghee as that gives unique taste to halwa.
  • Serve hot.
