RED POHA LADDU

Sometime back I got a parcel of red poha from Dhatu Organics. I have a few aval/poha recipes in my blog such as Vella Aval, Puli Aval, Kanada Poha etc. But they were all made from white poha. Red poha as I learn is more nuritive than white flakes. They have high iron content and easily digestable  as well.It is filling to the stomach but at the same time light as well. Here I have made a sweet recipe with red poha which is very quick to make and requires very less ingredients.  Coming to Dhatu, this was started by Hemant Kumar Srinivas and Dr. Mohan Kumar. R.K. with the combined efforts to promote sustainable eco- exploration and holistic wellness. They have a wide range of products like spices, flours, salts, chikkis and essential oils to name a few. They also support the marginal farmers and their associations.  They have a wide range of stores, retailers and Restaurant as well. The products are clean without any impurities and are freshly packed.

The laddu  I have made here was made within 15 minutes and it was finished up  no time. Moreover red poha is diabetic friendly and you can use powdered jaggery in place of sugar though I have used sugar. You can use cane sugar or sweetener to make it more suitable for elders in the family. You can make any sweet or savoury dishes with red poha and they would taste simply awesome as well. The Dhatu products are  totally organic and they have recently introduced sprouted grain and pulse flours which is very healthy. I will be posting a green pea flour Idiyappam which was totally addictive and all enjoyed at home. So On the whole a new holistic experience can be achieved using Dhatu products. So when are you going to order them online?
