  1. In a pan add a drop of oil and sautee red chillies.
  2. Take out and in the same pan add sambhar onions and fry till they turn pink.
  3. Add these in a blender with tamarind.
  4. Add salt and grind to a smooth paste.
  5. In a pan add sesame oil and mustard.
  6. Add the ground paste.
  7. Add turmeric powder and fenugreek powder.
  8. Cook for 5 more minutes.
  9. Cook till oil leaves the sides of the pan.
  10. Serve Onion Thokku with any tiffin variety or rice.
Recipe Notes

Use only sesame oil.

Cook well before switching off.

Use a clean bottle to store and use a clean spoon while serving.
