  1. Soak chickpeas overnight.
  2. Pressure cook for 3 whistles,the next day.
  3. Dry roast white sesame till they change colour and emit an aroma.
  4. It should be of this colour.
  5. Once cooled add the white sesame in a blender.
  6. Blend well.
  7. Add now in the blender boiled chickpeas,garlic,red chilli powder,pepper powder,sesame seeds,salt,olive oil and a few coriander leaves.
  8. Grid to a smooth paste.Add hung curd.
  9. And grind again.
  10. Tasty and healthy Homemade Hummus is ready.We enjoyed with Nachos Chips.

  • You can have hummus with finely sliced fresh veggies.
  • You can add vinegar or half a lemon juice for more tanginess.
  • You can avoid hung curd,but it gives a creamy texture.
  • Basically tahini is added,but i have added regular sesame seeds.
