  1. In a pan add oil followed by mustard,channa dal,asafoetida and red chillies.
  2. Add chayote peel.
  3. Add tomato pieces.
  4. Cook till mushy.
  5. Once cooled transfer the contents to a blender and add tamarind and salt.
  6. Grind nicely.
  7. Serve with rice,idlis and dosas.
Recipe Notes

You can add sesame oil for more taste.

You can avoid tamarind and add one more tomato.

You can add green chilies for more spice.
