PEAS SOUP

It is very elegant to start any meal with a soup and we all know they are very good appetizers.Peas soup is vibrant in green colour and is pleasing to the eyes as well with a unique flavour and creamy texture. This can be made as a broth as well and served with breads or simply as it is.I have made this with dried peas but you can make this with freshly shelled peas as well. Some add mint leaves for flavour, but since I didn’t have them, did not bother to add.But I have added carrots and onions for flavour and it really tasted great.

Whenever I go out to eat normally it would be either tomato or veg corn corn soup would be on the list to order.Recently I had the oppurtunity to eat and stay at a resort in Bangalore where they had exquisite range of food on the buffet.I found this peas soup very intresting and filling too.As every blogger I too like to try out what I eat.So that’s what happened at Nithya’s Kitchen over the weekend and came alive this recipe to relish.
