I always love to make Peas Pulao for lunch box or dinner.It is filling and easy to make with minimal ingredients.I prefer to keep the recipe simple and my daughter is fond of this pulao very much.It is so flavourful that you might end up eating more.Tastes great with any raita or gravy,it is a tasty solution f making the kids eat.Some add onions,I have not added in this recipe.It tastes equally good without onion too.Try out this simple and awesome recipe of the classic pulao recipe Peas Pulao.

Instructions
  1. Soak basmati rice in water for half an hour.
  2. In a pressure cooker add oil and jeera.
  3. Add now grated garlic,bay leaf and clove.
  4. Add star anise and green peas.Fry a bit.Add soaked rice.
  5. Add salt and 1 1/2 cups of water.
  6. Pressure cook for 3 whistles.
  7. Peas Pulao is ready.Serve with raita or any gravy.

  • Adding ghee along with oil adds to the taste.
  • You can add chopped onions at the time of adding peas.
  • Serve with any gravy or plain curd.
