PANI PURI/GOLGAPPA

 

 

Pani Puri is a chaat which is tasty tangy and sweet owing to the different chutneys and the water used in it.I am very fond of Pani Puri and love to eat whenever we go out to eat.In North specially in Delhi where I grew up it is called Golgappa. Usually for making chaats at home,you need a lot of patience and it is time consuming also as it requires assembling of lots of items.But with proper planning you can make the things in advance and enjoy with your family.In my earlier days of cooking,I had tried this recipe trying to recreate the same as I have had eating out.But with passing time I developed an easy method and started reading a few cookery books and later browsed a few sites which gave me an idea to improvise.The making of chaats and eating them is truly a enchanting affair,I end up eating as and when I make it.So let’s learn to make the easy method of making yummy Pani Puri at home.

Instructions
  1. Take puris in a plate and poke in the middle to fill things.
  2. Mix red chilli powder,turmeric powder and salt in boiled and cubed potatoes.Fill it inside the poked pooris.
  3. Next add sprouted green gram which is slightly par boiled.
  4. Add sweet and green chutney.
  5. Add chopped onion .
  6. Top it with sev.
  7. Immerse these arranged puris in pani or add pani on top and serve immediately.

  • In place of sprouted green gram you can add soaked black channa.
  • Similarly you can top with boondis in place of sev.
  • You can add black salt to pani in place of ordinary salt.
