PALAK PANEER/PANEER RECIPES

 

I wanted to post palak paneer for a long time and when i did make it and clicked it as well didn’t have a chance to do it as Diwali came and was busy with posting sweets and savouries as well.Palak paneer is a great and healthy option to feed kids who don’t like greens and to compliment it with fluffy rotis is a real filling dish.It is easy to prepare and i made this for my daugter’s lunch.The perfect palak paneer should have a green colour but still no raw smell.See the recipe below and try this yummy recipe.This traditional North Indian side dish of spinach and cottage cheese will be a tasty potion to your regular rotis.

  1. Wash and clean spinach leaves in running water and remove the lower stem.Cut in to pieces and boil them in water.Once cooled put this in a blender and puree it alongwith green chillies and keep aside for further use.
  2. Once cooled put this in a blender along with green chillies.
  3. Puree and keep aside.
  4. Take a pan add oil and cumin seeds.Then add onions and fry till pink.
  5. Puree tomato and add to it.
  6. Now add coriander powder,kitchen king masala powder and turmeric powder with salt.
  7. Add palak puree.
  8. Keep the paneer cubes ready and add now with crushed kasoori methi.
  9. Serve piping hot with rotis,phulkas or parathas.
Recipe Notes

Notes

  • The smooth texture of palak is the most important thing here.Be sure to boil it well but at the same time don’t over do it,you may not get the green colour then.
  • You could add a pod of garlic while frying onions,in that case you can add red chilli powder instead of kitchen king masala.
  • Use fresh spinach leaves for tasty recipe.
