DSC00337

Do you want an easy and tasty, healthy salad with loaded richness and nutrients ? Then do try out this salad with green gram. I have sprouted the salad at home, you can bought store bought sprouts as well. This is an excellent recipe for youngsters, wait watchers, bachelors and all. It is so easy to make that even a small kid can make this in no time. The vegetables added are simple and easily available at home.  Whenever my daughter has sudden hunger pangs,  I make this for her and she would be happy to finish the bowl. We all are on the lookout for good and healthy food options and you can have this bowl of goodness at anytime of the day. You can vary the vegetables as per your liking and try to be innovative here. I have used cucumber, carrot ,onion and tomato, but you can add chopped cabbage, red bell pepper, etc. You can add boiled potatoes and fruits like grapes and pomegranate seeds. My friend adds peanuts and pista seeds to add to the crunchiness of the salad.   DSC00338

Sprouts are easily digestible, and are good old people as well. They are good people with diabetics and can be consumed without any guilt. They are also rich in anti oxidants and are good for growing children. You can feed this to young kids with veggies and fruits and make it as an evening snack. I have used chaat masala here for tanginess, but you can also add black salt as well. If you are slightly innovative roll the stuffing in to a roti and serve it as a wrap. Also you can use this as a stuffing for sandwich after applying butter and Green Chutney on the bread. So today it is healthy salad coming to you from my kitchen.
